How Walsh Marketing collects, uses, and protects your information.

1. Who We Are

Walsh Marketing provides two bespoke software tools for landscaping businesses: LawnSlider (an AI-powered lead generation tool embedded on a client's website) and QuickReview (an SMS review request app used by landscapers after job completion). We are the operator of these tools and the data controller for the information described in this policy.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect information in the following contexts:

From landscaping business owners (our clients):

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Mobile phone number
  • Business name
  • SMS consent confirmation (recorded at sign-up)

From homeowners using LawnSlider (end users):

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Uploaded photo of their lawn or garden
  • Responses to questions about their landscaping preferences

From contact and sign-up forms on this website:

  • Name, email address, phone number, and any message submitted

3. Why We Collect It

  • To deliver our service: Client contact details are used to set up and manage their LawnSlider and QuickReview tools, and to send them lead notification SMS messages when a homeowner submits via LawnSlider.
  • To generate leads: Homeowner data submitted through LawnSlider is forwarded to the relevant landscaping client as a qualified lead. The homeowner consents to this at the point of submission.
  • To respond to enquiries: Information submitted via our contact form or get-started form is used solely to respond to the enquiry and onboard the client if they proceed.
  • To send SMS notifications: Client mobile numbers are used to deliver real-time lead alerts via SMS. This is only done with explicit prior consent.

4. SMS Messaging

Phone numbers collected for SMS purposes are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing or any other purpose.

Walsh Marketing uses SMS messaging for two purposes:

LawnSlider lead notifications: When a landscaping business owner signs up to the service, they provide explicit written consent to receive SMS notifications each time a new lead is submitted through their LawnSlider tool. Message frequency varies based on lead volume.

QuickReview review requests: Landscaping business owners who use QuickReview confirm at sign-up that they will only send review request SMS messages to customers who have verbally agreed to receive them after job completion. Walsh Marketing does not initiate review request messages — these are sent by the landscaping business owner to their own customers.

Opt-out: SMS recipients can reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe from further messages. No further messages will be sent following an opt-out request.

Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • With our service providers: We use Twilio to send SMS messages. Twilio processes phone numbers solely to deliver messages on our behalf and is bound by its own privacy and data protection obligations.
  • With our clients (landscaping businesses): Homeowner lead data collected via LawnSlider is passed to the relevant landscaping client, as this is the core purpose of the service and is disclosed to the homeowner at the point of submission.
  • If required by law: We may disclose information if required to do so by applicable law or legal process.

6. Data Retention

We retain client data for as long as the service is active. If a client cancels, we delete their personal data within 30 days of the cancellation date unless we are required to retain it for legal or accounting purposes.

Homeowner lead data is retained only as long as necessary to deliver it to the relevant landscaping client and is not used for any other purpose.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. To make a request, contact us at shane@walshmarketing.net and we will respond within 30 days.

To opt out of SMS messages, reply STOP to any message you receive from us.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. Continued use of our services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
